Monthly Community Organized Events

Silent Writing
Do you want to work on your writing without being alone? Sharing a room with others focused on their craft creates momentum and creative energy. Bring your laptop or notebook and spend 90 minutes working on your current project or free writing. For more info, contact Michael.
Gruppo Lupo Writing Group
Doug Wolf leads this group meeting for informal readings and discussion. (The group usually meets on the first Friday of the month.) Both resident and visiting writers of all genres and levels are very welcome. For more information, email Doug.
Generative writing
Come to this in-person event to get the words out: pen to paper or fingers to keyboard. A series of prompts will guide participants in writing practice and, if they wish, sharing what they’ve written with the group. For more information, email George.
Brainstorming for writers
As writers and storytellers, we all have moments when we’re stuck: an elusive title, an obstinate character, a plot that has run aground, the merest kernel of a story idea. As the saying goes, two (or more) brains are better than one! Brainstorming in a supportive environment can help you overcome writing challenges and keep your mind and creativity sharp and ready for writing. Writing Group at St. Mark’s
This is a group of active writers working on a variety of writing projects. We meet monthly to review and provide feedback on members’ work.
